OUR PROJECTS
On daily bases, M.D.C always give scholastic materials to needy orphans and vulnerable children to enable them get a standard education and also some accommodation to improve on their standard of living.
The poverty prevalence rate in the region is high and considering the universal primary education system in Uganda, many children are not receiving helpful education because of the limited resources in government and from parents. This leads to school drop outs due to lack of basic provisions. On this background therefore,
M.D.C saw the need to take up the initiative of helping vulnerable children mostly orphans access basic, helpful education because they are left out in such provision.
In order to improve the situation of these children, there is need to support their careers to ensure that they are accepted and have access to essential services, such as health care and education. Keeping children in school plays a crucial role in improving the prospects of orphans and securing their future. A good school education can give children a higher self-esteem, better job prospects and economic independence. The social scope is focused on providing basic needs for orphans from poor families, the geographical scope is the nation (Uganda).b
M.D.C HAVE IMMIGRATED THE LAND SLIDE AFFECTED VICTIMS TO SECURE AREAS IN UGANDA AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PHOTO HOW THEY WHERE HIGHLY AFFECTED BY LANDSLIDE IN BUDUDA DISTRICT IN UGANDA
M.D.C responding to crisis, the foundation has a high network of identifying and assessing the situation where Aid is needed and it always respond within 24 hour period.
M.D.C responds to crisis like
Landslide, floods
Hunger
Aid to refugees (war victims)
Diseases and drought etc. by giving the needed assistance basing on their needs.
During the month of January, February and March, M.D.C’s staff visits the beneficiaries house to house as a tool of identifying the needy people. During such periods, many of them run short or no food in their homes due to the long drought that is being experienced continuously. M.D.C buys maize seeds and flour and distribute to the identified victims who need help. More clarification on this, we have managed to feed 200 needy families according to our records and this number is limited by our funds.
We gave the Mudslide affected victims the clothes, mattress and food since all their properties where destroyed by the cracked massive movement of the soil from the mountain
Uganda, the purpose of this school was to help the orphans whose parents died in landslide attack in Bududa district in 2014 where the massive landslide swept thousand individuals to death.
So this school is specifically for the 200 orphans.
Creating crime free and self-sustaining communities is not an overnight action, but one that starts with building a strong moral and economic young generation of hardworking people. This requires for everyone to have equal chance for growth and development in the basic life with education, health, food and shelter among others. This dream is an impossible one for the orphans whose hope has ended with the loss of their parents and if left to fate, these orphans will grow to survive in their adulthood as criminals who conduct organized crime and terrorism as it is witnessed in the present world.
M.D.C has this concern for the future of these orphans and of the rest of the world to help create a crime free society by helping the orphans have a chance to build an acceptable responsible life through provision of education as the basic ingredient in social-economic development
As an institution built on values of Islam,M.D.C pursues the objective of helping the orphans and other vulnerable children to live an equal life as the other advantaged children as submission to the will of God. Through helping these orphans M.D.C is trying to serve as an example to all people to do the same so that every orphan in the world is helped by a person who is in better position. In this way, it will not only be M.D.C but everyone will be helping them.
It is hard to provide these orphans with all their basic needs like education since the incomes are low, most orphaned children are taken into their extended families and looked after by relatives such as a grandmother, aunt or elder sister (sometimes only a child her/himself). Almost all these families are already very poor, and often had several children of their own. Although most families do everything they can to support the children, in some cases family members
During the period of eid al adhua, principled that we should slaughter animals, the foundation take advantage to implement the project through slaughtering animals on behalf of its donors and helping them to identify the most needy to benefit in this program as it was narrated in Quran by ALLAH that whoever save a life shall also be saved.
So far we have distributed 245 sowing machine to needy widows of kasese whose husband died in tribal war of 2017 between the ruling party and king’s royal guards which resulted to battling hence death of thousand individuals.
Through this program, we set up skilled sheikhs, teachers and knowledgeable elders to go and teach both Muslims and non-Muslims. Through this, we have got several converts and supporters. And we also request for holy Qurans to distribute them to the mosques and Islamic schools in Uganda
M.D.C always conducts seminars in different districts to improve on Islamic morals and impart knowledge to both believers and non-believers. This exercise has always generated new converts and we always award/offer them with Hijabs, capes and kanzus as a gift of welcoming them to Islam after the Shahadatul. As for now, the community is registering a big number of Moslems due to this wonderful program and it is carried out thrice every month of the year.
Through a long term run, M.D.C always raise funds to repair, maintain and protect the local boreholes, water pump and wells by providing a team of volunteers find and identify the damaged, destroyed and forgotten borehole, from needy societies to repair and train the communities on how to keep the environment clean.
We believe that water is life to every human being. In most cases, most areas in area use unclean water from unclean sources and others completely stagnant water in their communities. By doing so, M.D.C takes the action by ensuring clean water to the community so that water bone diseases are minimized. We drill boreholes in dry areas, distribute water purifying tablets and provide safe water tanks to the institutions and homes for domestic use. This program is on high demand because most of the areas in Uganda are experiencing too much sunshine which has put the lives of people at risk including animals.
DRUGS HAVE BEEN DISTRIBUTED TO VARIOUS AREAS IN THE COUNTRY LIKE THOSE IN CAMPS,FLOOD AFFECTED VICTIMS IN THE EASTERN UGANDA
